Primary Education : Halugunda Primary School
Middle Education : Maragodu and Ammati
Higher Education : Government High School Madikeri (upto 11th Std)
College: Vijaya College in Mulki and passed out BCOM in the year 1970 thereafter worked as first division clerk in RTO office, Mysore for 1 year.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES: During High School got interested in the national game, Hockey; represented the state at the Mysore Dassara Team in the game of hockey; During college days played for Mysore University and also played for the combined varsity and participated in All India Open Hockey Tournament at Kovilapatti, Tamil Nadu.
During his school days he underwent training under Maj. Dyan Chand, the wizard of hockey. In his college days he bagged the first gold medal in Vijaya College, Mulki as an all rounder.
Joined KSPS on 01-08-1972 as Police Sub Inspector. Underwent basic training at police training college in Mysore for 1 year. Post that he attended 1 year probationary practical training at Belgaum District and absorbed in Belgaum District as independent sub-inspector.
WORK PATH: Worked as Sub-inspector in Kanapur police station, Gokak police station, Nippani Town police station in Belgaum district;
Kota police station, Udupi town police station, Pandeshwar police station, Bandar police station,
Urwa police station in South Canara district;
Bhatkal police station in Uttar Kannada District;
Promoted as Circle Inspector and posted to COD, then posted to Hubli North circle in 1990.
Till 2000 worked as Circle Inspector in Hubli-Dharwad Commisionerate,
Got promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police and posted to Coastal Security Police, Udupi district.
After Completing 2.5 years of service posted as Assistand Commisioner of Police at Ulsoor gate sub-division.
Post completion of 2.5 years, posted to CCRB in commisioner’s office in 2005.
Posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) of anti-naxalite force, Headquarters at Karkala district.
After completion of 1 year there, posted as Chief Security Officer to honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. H D Kumaraswamy and retired on 30-Apr-2007.

During his police career he received timely promotion and reached the highest position as SP rank. In this tenure he bagged the Chief Minister’s medal twice for his outstanding work once in 1982 (silver medal) and in 2001 (gold).
Post retirement worked in Reliance Communications for a while and currently working as Liason Officer at Mineral Enterprises Limited
